A Guide to Incense Blending

The use of incense in spiritual practice has been used for thousands of years, creating an intensely personal act of worship for many. As someone who is sensitive to mass-produced or synthetic fragrances I've used natural incenses in my practice for almost 25 years.

There's something particularly special about selecting individual herbs yourself, whether for their magickal or spiritual properties or their fragrance. As a beginner it can be difficult to know where to start and unpleasant concoctions are commonplace. Believe me, I've had my fair share!
